Norman Wolisky, SWCS grad dies

Norman S. Wolinsky, 63, of 222 S. Aurora St., Ithaca, N.Y., formerly of Jamestown, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, at Hospicare & Palliative Services in Ithaca.

He was born in Jamestown on Sept. 25, 1949, a son of the late Dr. Irving R. and Frances Goldinger Wolinsky, and graduated from Southwestern Central School.

Norman had been employed in Jamestown by Fancher Chair for a number of years. He had lived in Ithaca for the past eight years.

He is survived by a son, Brandon Butler of Lakewood; a daughter, Natalie Wolinsky of Eau Clair, Wis.; two sisters: Sara J. (Dave) Reale of Jamestown, and Helene D. Wolinsky of Burbank, Calif; and two brothers: James A. Wolinsky of The Villages, Fla., and Steven B. Wolinsky of Sarasota, Fla.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Lind Funeral Home. Joseph D. Gerstel will officiate. Burial will be in Beth-El Cemetery in Jamestown.

The family will receive friends for two hours prior to the service in the funeral home Sunday.
